Michael is an articling student at BLG in Toronto. He is interested in dispute resolution.

Michael holds degrees in music, public policy, and law from Memorial University, the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and the University of Toronto. In addition to his academic studies, Michael has worked as a professional musician, including as a member of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, at the House of Commons in Ottawa, and in the Office of the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador. Michael has also served on boards and committees at several charitable, higher education, and arts organizations. At law school, Michael was selected to be a Junior Fellow at Massey College, where he co-chaired the Massey Law Society, and served as a senior editor of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review.
