Meghan advocates for health care clients and their staff in complex medical malpractice litigation and administrative matters.

Meghan provides advice on a wide range of health law-related issues, including regulatory college matters, adverse events and disclosure, and complicated consent and mental health issues. She has extensive experience representing physicians at designated psychiatric facilities before the Consent and Capacity Board and CCB appeals.

Meghan has appeared before the:

  • Ontario Review Board
  • Health Services Appeal and Review Board

Experience

  • Advise healthcare institutions on compliance with healthcare legislation and proposed institutional policies.
  • Represent forensic mental health facilities before the Ontario Review Board.
  • Represent hospitals on a variety of medical malpractice actions, including obstetrical, surgical and missed/delayed diagnosis.
  • Represent various hospital clients before the Consent and Capacity Board.
  • Represent nursing staff in relation to College of Nurses complaints.
