Jillian serves as an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2024-2025 articling term, focusing on litigation with a special interest in health law.

During her time as a law student, Jillian completed a full-time placement at Dalhousie Legal Aid Service, where she represented and advocated for clients at the Youth Criminal Justice Court and Residential Tenancies Board. She also volunteered with the Elizabeth Fry Society, teaching evaluation committee, Dalhousie Health Law Society, and co-founded the Dalhousie Law Mental Health and Wellness Society. Before joining BLG, Jillian worked as an Occupational Therapist at a major private healthcare company.

For her 2L summer, Jillian sought meaningful work across various practice areas to gain exposure to the expertise that BLG offers its clients. After experiencing BLG’s comprehensive training, mentorship, and collaborative work environment, she chose BLG as the ideal place for her professional development.

In her spare time, Jillian enjoys swimming laps, trying new workout classes, exploring new restaurants, and listening to up-and-coming artists.
