He handles coverage determinations in property and casualty and cyber insurance, defends insurers in complex class actions, and represents professional firms in contractual liability and errors and omissions cases.
He acts for insurers and insureds in the context of complex coverage disputes or in defending liability claims stemming from insurance losses. He has been actively involved in various class actions initiated against insurers in the wake of COVID-19.
Marc-André has argued before all levels of courts in Québec in the context of small or large claims. He has handled countless examinations and mediations over the years, working to achieve his client’s objectives.
With his solid background in construction law, Marc-André also acts for various clients in this sector, focusing on professional liability for engineers.
Marc-André taught insurance law at University of Montréal in 2022. He also heads the specialized insurance coverage subgroup in BLG’s Montréal office.
