On Sept. 15, 2026, BLG advised Telesat LEO ULC, a subsidiary of Telesat Corporation, on a master services agreement with SatPort Infrastructure to construct and manage terrestrial landing facilities worldwide.
Backed by global investment firm EQT, SatPort operates a carrier-neutral platform that will integrate the Telesat Lightspeed constellation with global terrestrial data systems.
The agreement’s framework transitions the terrestrial infrastructure buildout from an upfront capital investment to a predictable operational expense model. Under this structure, Telesat retains full operational control and ownership of all network components.
