Rebecca is a construction, infrastructure and surety lawyer representing surety bonding companies, owners, contractors, engineers, consultants, financial institutions, and subcontractors. She assists clients in high-value and complex litigation disputes, arbitrations, adjudications, lien proceedings, and mediations on both private and public infrastructure projects.
Rebecca has extensive experience advising on a broad range of construction issues, including on:
- Bonding issues and bond claims;
- Breach of contract;
- Lien, design and engineering issues;
- Construction deficiencies and delays;
- Liquidated damages claims and
- Procurement and development issues.
Rebecca has appeared in several Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (ODACC) adjudications, at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Canada.
Prior to joining BLG, Rebecca practiced at a prominent Bay Street law firm in their litigation and disputes resolution group.
