Jason assists inventors and businesses to protect and profit from their technological innovations in all physics-related fields. This includes mechanical devices, transportation equipment, electronics, medical devices, industrial processes, water treatment, papermaking, industrial hygiene, batteries and fuel cells, currency and document security, and communications solutions. He has substantial knowledge and experience in the patenting of computer-related inventions, including cybersecurity, mobile applications, and gaming.

Jason provides strategic advice to help clients navigate the intellectual property landscape, including invention patentability, patent infringement and validity, and freedom-to-operate. He drafts and prosecutes patent applications to grant, for Canada, the United States, and worldwide, and manages patent portfolios for innovators and enterprises.

Jason has appeared before the Canadian Patent Appeal Board and the Trademarks Opposition Board, and has represented clients before the Federal Court of Canada and the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
