Shereen represents corporate clients in complex litigation matters. Her practice is transnational and spans corporate commercial disputes, competition and anti-trust law matters, restructuring and insolvency matters, shareholder disputes, and construction disputes.
Shereen regularly acts in recognition and enforcement matters, including applications to enforce foreign judgments and international arbitration awards under the New York Convention. She also represents clients in complex fraud litigation, asset recovery proceedings, and extraordinary remedies, including Anton Piller (civil search) and Norwich Pharmacal (equitable discovery) orders.
In the competition and anti-trust law space, Shereen advises on compliance issues and conducts internal investigations to respond to regulatory inquiries under the Competition Act. She also represents clients in major international and domestic cartel investigations and related litigation.
Shereen has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench. She has also assisted on matters before all levels of court in Alberta and at the Supreme Court of Canada.
In addition to her litigation practice, Shereen has been recognized as one of The Peaks’ 2024 Emerging Leaders and has appeared on CTV’s The Social as a guest legal and pop culture commentator.
Shereen summered and articled at BLG, and previously practiced litigation and dispute resolution at another leading Canadian law firm before returning to BLG as an associate.
