Sean maintains a diversified litigation and dispute resolution practice with a focus on commercial litigation, administrative law, and appellate advocacy. He has experience advising clients in shareholder disputes, transactional litigation, fraud recovery, and contractual and tort disputes.

Sean represents domestic and international clients, both public and private, across a broad range of industries including mining, natural resources, and banking and financial services.

Sean has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia and in the Federal Court of Appeal.

Outside of his practice, Sean sits as the President of the Vancouver Bar Association and volunteers as a mentor with the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association.

Recent representative cases on which Sean has appeared include the following:

  • Delta Automotive Ltd. v. 4846 Elliott St Ltd., 2024 BCSC 2246 - counsel for the respondent commercial landlord on the successful dismissal of an application for relief from forfeiture.
  • Joudaki v. Ward, 2024 BCSC 989 - counsel for the landlord petitioners on the successful application for judicial review of a Residential Tenancy Branch decision.
  • Acosta v. Middlegate Development Ltd., 2024 BCSC 732 - counsel to the respondent landlord on the successful dismissal of an application for judicial review of a Residential Tenancy Branch decision.
